Just thought I would post a quick post saying thanks to all of the Veterans who have faithfully served our country. We are spending the weekend at my parents.

But before we came this way, Colby’s scout pack spent Saturday morning at Camp Nelson National Cemetery putting flags on all of the grave sites.

There a little over 14,000 graves at the cemetery which located just south of Nicholasville. There scout groups from all over the area there which made for a pretty easy morning. With everyone pitching in, it didn’t take no time.

Happy Memorial Day everyone.

Preschool graduates

May 21, 2010

The twins graduated preschool earlier this week. It’s hard to believe that they will be starting Kindergarten next school year. It seems like yesterday sometimes that they were born and we moved to Nicholasville. The move has been one that we wondered about several times but for the most part are pretty happy with. It’s not Richmond but we have started making friends here and it’s slowly feeling like home. I guess when you live in a city for almost 14 years, it’s hard to think anyplace else is home.

Between scouts, soccer and church, we have made friendships that will last a lifetime. Will we move again? Who knows? I know that was the plan at one time but with things the way they are, who knows. I guess we will have to wait and see.
